Radioactive waste management aims to ensure the treatment, storage, and disposal of radioactive waste resulting from the utilization, research, operation, and decommissioning of radioactive materials and nuclear facilities. Its primary objective is to protect human health and the environment.
The Low and Intermediate Level Waste Management Technical Division is a community of experts dedicated to conducting research, projects, and safety regulations focused on developing management technologies for low and intermediate level radioactive waste. We actively organize and sponsor specialized workshops and various academic events related to radioactive waste management, facilitating valuable academic exchanges among researchers, operators, and safety regulatory experts in the field. Our endeavors contribute to enhancing the safety of radioactive waste management and driving advancements in the field as a whole.
